8 Must Watch Shows on Disney+ Before Your Disney Trip
Yesterday I took a pole on Instagram regarding if y'all would be interested in shows to watch on Disney+ before arriving at Disney World for your vacation. The answer was overwhelmingly yes! Therefore I skipped today's magic report since it was light, and pulled my list together for y'all. We have watched all of these and I learn something new about the parks each time. For the most part, I think this list is appropriate for 7 and up. However, other than Jungle Cruise there is nothing to say your little ones can't watch it. Thomas is one and he has watched 90% of the list. I would just say a bit is lost on him. He did love the sunrise series (the music is soothing), the illuminations (lots of colors) and the Magic of Disney's Animal Kingdom (animals).
Before we get started, if you don't have Disney+ yet sign up here!
So now that I have mentioned half of them, below is my list:
Disney Illuminations- This is Disneyland Paris's nighttime show. While it's not one of Disney World's shows it does give you the same feelings and expectations for a show in Magic Kingdom. If you are really want to get your elementary school-aged kids excited- watch this!!! They will be asking when they get to see the show in Orlando!
Decorating Disney Holiday Magic- So I added this one because I love it and also if you are going at the Holidays it gives you a great appreciation for everything that goes into making Disney World special.
Star Wars Galaxy's Edge Adventure Awaits- Everyone is so excited these days Galaxy's Edge at Hollywood Studios. If you want to see inside Batuu before arriving watch this show!
Disney Parks Sunrise Series- This a short series where you can watch the sunrise in Magic Kingdom, Animal Kingdom, and Epcot. They are all around an hour long with very soothing music. I have played this one all week in our playroom. It's great to watch as well while you are using Cupcakes and Churros' Disney planner that launches next month (great plug huh?!)
Magic of Disney's Animal Kingdom- Okay, I wrote a blog a few weeks ago on how to keep Disney World educational and this series is the perfect thing to watch if that is your speed. They really introduce you to so many of the Animals that live on property with their names, how they take care of them, and what they like to do. It's great to watch and then help your kids find those animals once you get to the park.
The Imagineering Story- The Disney Imagineers are some of the most creative and innovative people on this earth. I swear! Learning about how they create such magical parks and how they do what they do is really eye opening. For your older kids and adults it will give you a great perspective while there.
Behind the Attraction- This is my personal favorite. Each episode walks you through a different iconic attraction a WDW and how it came to live. It will shock you some of the stories! There is a Jungle Cruise episode that I suggest before watching the movie and riding the ride.
Jungle Cruise- This is still in premier access but it is sooo sooo soo good. We have ridden the ride previously, and watched the Behind the Attraction episode right before watching the movie. The show made everything that much better in the movie because so many of the jokes made sense. Have a family movie night the weekend before going and watch it. You will all be running to the ride when you get the Magic Kingdom!
*** A few bonuses- Disney Fairytale Weddings (amazing), Haunted Mansion, and Pirates of the Caribbean. If you have little ones (under 3) watching Mickey Mouse Clubhouse as well so they recognize the characters!
Don't forget if you don't already have a subscription to Disney+ you can grab one here!
Until next time,
XOXO
