Christmas in July
Here are my favorite things to do during the holidays in Florida that I've found so far...
Fourth of July is over so it’s basically Christmas (Jk) but it is the 25th of July which means I’m spilling my favorite holiday activities we did last year and as a bonus I’m adding two that are on my list this year!
1) @gaylordpalms host an entire ICE! 🧊 display! You walk through an entire childhood story book made from ice- last year was The Grinch! They also have sledding, cookie decorating, and more! We actually love staying here and make a whole holiday weekend out of it! (You get extra time in the Christmas village if you do)
2) @disneyparks hosts a Mickey’s very merry Christmas party which takes place at Magic Kingdom from 7 pm to midnight. They have a special parade, special holiday characters, free cocoa and cookies, and more holiday fun! Plus the ride lines are super short so you can do it all!
3) Life Sized Gingerbread House- The Grand Floridian resort is home to a life sized gingerbread house that you can buy actual gingerbread out of! They literally have a store inside! It’s one of my favorite holiday things!
4) @enchantstpetersburg - Last we went to the hallmark channel’s Christmas village come to life! This included a BEAUTIFUL light display you can walk through, ice aka into, a holiday market, and Santa! The earlier you go in the season the less crowded!
5) @edisonfordfl - This holiday light display has become a tradition for us since moving to Florida! The historic home turns into a beautiful light display with music and plenty of room to run for little ones! You can also catch a bewitching sunset 8 if you get there early enough!
Okay here are my two bonuses that I want to do:
1) rent a golf cart and see the lights in downtown St. Augustine ( I’ve heard it’s amazing!)
2) @naplesbotanical light display- we missed out on tickets last year because they went so fast! These gardens are already exquisite so I know that walking through at night with lights will be even better!
Which one sounds fun to you?
until next week,
Catherine
