How much does it actually cost to eat and drink around the world??
Here is what it would actually cost you to eat and drink around the world at Epcot.
I get asked all the time how much it actually costs for a single person to eat and drink around the world at Epcot. While this can be hard to determine (total depends on which festival/ splitting drinks/ etc.) I decided to attempt to come up with an approximate figure for y'all. I know many people try to decide between a nice dinner at one of the countries or eating around the world so hopefully, this will help compare prices and experiences.
So I have made a few assumption when putting this together:
1) This is for a single person
2) You will eat and drink something in each of the 12 countries that is in stock 365 days a year. So I am not looking at festival booths
3)You have no discounts such as an annual pass or DVC
4) Each drink will be an alcoholic drink
5)You are not splitting anything with anyone
6)You are starting in Mexico because that is the correct starting place
7)You are not stopping at the refreshment port between China and Germany
8)I did not include tax
Under these guidelines, each person will spend a total of.....
So let's break it down:
Mexico- Stopping at La Cantina de San Angel I accounted for a frozen margarita ($12.50) and Guacamole with chips ($10). This brings stop one to a total of $22.50
Norway- Next up is the Kringla Bakeri. They have one of my favorite adult drinks in Epcot. It's the Viking coffee which comes with baileys and kamora coffee liquor. This drink costs $14 and the school bread will add $4.49 bringing this country to a total of $18.49.
China- The lotus blossom is completely underrated in Epcot but I really enjoy it. Here I would grab a draft beer ($9.25) and pork egg rolls ($4.95) for a total of $14.20.
Germany-Okay this is a bit tricky since we are avoiding the festival food. I would hit the Bier refreshment cart for your beer at $9.75 and then head to the Karamell-Kuche for some caramel popcorn for $6.99. Total $16.74.
Italy- Okay so typically here I would recommend getting a snack from the festival booths unless you want another sweet treat! But for this exercise, we are stopping at Gelateria Toscana and getting ice cream. I would 100% pick the Affogato espresso gelato for $11.75 and grab a glass of Prosecco for $10.50. Bringing this country to a total of $22.25.
America-You are officially halfway there! Here I would grab a beer for $9.25 and a hot dog (I mean it's America) for $9.50. Official total here- $18.75.
Japan- I love love Japan. They have a really cool sake bar at the back of their store (the lemon is my favorite). Here I am stopping at Katsura Grill for sushi and sake. A California roll is $10, and sake is $8 for a total of $18.
Morocco-Oasis Sips and Sweets is a great stopping point here. I would grab a blood orange mimosa ($13.00) and a kataifi ($2.50). Bringing this to a total of $15.50.
France- Now I am stopping at the best bakery- I mean I have loved this place since I was in kindergarten. Les Halles Boulangerie-Patisserie is located at the back of the French pavilion at Epcot. I would grab Frose (12.50) and a fromages (11.95). The total is $24.45.
England-Okay gets ready to eat - the Yorkshire County Fish Shop is one of the most popular places to eat in Epcot. The fish and chips are $11.49 and a beer is $9.25. You won't regret it! The total is $20.74.
Canada- Final stop!!! At the popcorn in Canada stand grab the maple popcorn (6.50) to munch on during the fireworks and an Ottawa Apple drink ($14.00). The grand total is $20.50.
So your grand total is: $212.12
I will note that while you may not get exactly what I picked out I did try to stay close to what some of the festival foods typically cost so this is a pretty accurate number for approximately how much one person would spend on 12 drinks and 12 food items.
So would you do this or pick a dinner at Le Cellier Steakhouse?
Until next time,
XOXO
